For Customers

Is SpotBiz free for customers? +
Yes — 100% free. Discovering businesses, browsing listings, viewing photos, and contacting businesses via WhatsApp costs nothing for customers, always.
How do I contact a business? +
Tap on any business card to open the full details page, then tap the green Contact on WhatsApp button. WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled enquiry message that you can edit before sending. You must be logged in to use this feature.
Do I need an account to browse? +
No — you can browse the Home screen and category listings freely without logging in. An account is required only to contact businesses via WhatsApp or save businesses to your wishlist. Sign-up takes under 30 seconds via Google or Apple sign-in.
How do I save a business to my wishlist? +
Tap the 🤍 heart icon on any business card or on the business details page. You can save up to 10 businesses. View saved businesses in the ❤️ Saved tab at the bottom of the app.
How many businesses can I save? +
You can save up to 10 businesses in your wishlist. If you've reached the limit, simply remove one before adding a new one — tap the heart icon again to unsave.
How does the distance / location feature work? +
SpotBiz uses your device's GPS to detect your current location and displays businesses sorted by distance from you (closest first). You can also manually search any city, neighbourhood, or landmark using the filter icon on the Home screen.
What are Featured businesses? +
Businesses with an active Boost plan appear in the featured auto-sliding carousel at the top of the Home and Category screens, marked with a ⭐ or 💎 badge. They've paid for extra visibility — SpotBiz does not personally endorse or verify them beyond listing requirements.
How far away are the businesses shown? +
SpotBiz shows businesses within a 50 km radius of your selected or detected location, sorted closest first. Boosted businesses appear at the top regardless of distance.

For Business Owners

How do I register my business? +
Open SpotBiz, tap the + icon in the bottom navigation bar, and fill in your business details — name, WhatsApp number, location, category, services description, and up to 4 photos. Listing is currently FREE (limited period offer) — just submit your details and go live!
Can I list more than one business? +
Currently, one business per account. If you operate multiple businesses and need separate listings, please contact us at spotbizapp@gmail.com and we'll assist you.
How do I edit my business details? +
Go to Profile → My Business → Edit. You can update your WhatsApp number, Instagram link, location, and photos. Note: edits are allowed once every 14 days to maintain listing consistency and customer trust.
Why can I only edit once per 14 days? +
The 14-day edit window prevents frequent test changes, spam updates, and maintains consistency for customers who save or plan to contact your business. Use your edit window wisely — review all fields before saving.
Can I update my business photos during an edit? +
Yes. When you open the Edit screen, you'll see your current photos. Tap the × on any photo to remove it, then tap + to upload a replacement. The total must stay at 4 or fewer. Photo changes count as your one edit for the 30-day window.
How do I activate a Boost plan? +
Go to Profile → My Business → Boost (or look for the 🚀 Boost button). Choose Silver (₹199/1mo), Gold (₹299/2mo), or Platinum (₹399/3mo). Your business goes live in the featured carousel immediately after payment.
How do I delete my listing? +
Go to Profile → My Business → Delete Listing. Confirm the action. This permanently removes your listing and any associated data. Any remaining Boost time is also cancelled without refund.
My business isn't appearing in search. What should I do? +
Check that: (1) your listing plan is active, (2) you selected the correct category, (3) your location is set correctly. If the issue persists, email spotbizapp@gmail.com with your User ID (found in Profile) and we'll investigate.

Pricing & Plans

How much does it cost to list my business? +
Listing your business is currently FREE — this is a limited period offer, so claim your spot now! Optionally, add a Boost plan for extra visibility. No tiers, no confusion for the listing itself.
What are the Boost plan options? +
Three tiers: Silver (₹199 / 1 month), Gold (₹299 / 2 months), Platinum (₹399 / 3 months). All include featured carousel placement, top-of-category results, and a featured badge.
Are payments refundable? +
All payments are final unless required by applicable Indian law. If a technical error on our part prevents service delivery, contact us within 7 days. See our Terms of Service for full details.
What payment methods are accepted? +
UPI and standard Indian payment methods are supported within the app. Contact us at spotbizapp@gmail.com if you encounter payment issues.

Account & Privacy

How do I sign in to SpotBiz? +
Tap Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple on the login screen and select your account. You're signed in instantly — no passwords, no OTPs, no forms required.
How do I delete my account? +
Go to Profile → Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, all your data, and your business listing from SpotBiz. This action cannot be undone.
What data does SpotBiz collect about me? +
We collect your Google or Apple account details for authentication, and business information you voluntarily submit. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our full Privacy Policy for complete details.
What is my User ID and why might I need it? +
Your User ID is a unique identifier shown in your Profile screen. It helps our support team locate your account quickly when you report an issue — without needing to share your Google account details.

Technical Issues

I'm having trouble signing in with Google or Apple. What should I do? +
Make sure you have a stable internet connection and try again. For Google sign-in, if the popup is blocked, allow popups for SpotBiz in your browser settings. For Apple sign-in, ensure you're signed into your Apple ID. Try reloading the app or clearing your browser cache. Contact us if the problem persists.
The app isn't showing businesses near me. Why? +
Ensure your browser or device has location permission enabled for SpotBiz. If location access is blocked, use the 🔍 filter icon on the Home screen to manually search your area by typing your neighbourhood or city.
My photo upload is failing. What are the limits? +
Each photo must be under 15 MB. You can upload up to 4 images per business. The app automatically compresses images on upload. If a specific file keeps failing, try a different image format (JPG works best).
I see an error when trying to register my business. What should I do? +
Check that all required fields are filled in (name, WhatsApp number, location, category, at least 1 photo). Ensure your photos don't exceed 15 MB each. If the error persists, screenshot the message and email it to spotbizapp@gmail.com with your User ID.
